Quick question… how's your calm down corner going?
Be honest.
Is it a beanbag, a bin of fidgets, and a poster so bright you can see it from space? Did your kiddo walk in, look around, and walk right back out?
Stop me if any of this sounds familiar:
The wrong cup ruined the entire afternoon. (It was blue. They wanted the other blue.)
You asked "what's wrong?" and got a growl. An actual growl.
Your kiddo doesn't know they're upset until they're fully, gloriously, floor-flopping upset.
You've said "calm down" roughly 4,000 times. Has it worked even once? Yeah. Same.
And the calming corner you set up? It's less "peaceful retreat" and more "craft store clearance aisle."
If you nodded at even *one* of those, pull up a weighted blanket. You belong here.
UNDERNEATH IT ALL…
You just want your kiddo to have a soft place to land. Somewhere to go when their body says too much.
(And a way back that doesn't involve you hiding in the pantry, eating chocolate chips straight from the bag).

I get it. The "let me just sit in the car for five more minutes" kind of get it.
Hi! I’m Sarah. Late-diagnosed neurodivergent mom and a proud member of the still-figuring-it-out club.
And that’s precisely why I created these calming corner posters (and why I’m so happy to share them with you!)

A calming corner should actually feel calm.
(Wild concept, I know.)
Most calming corner posters are bright, loud, and packed edge to edge. Rainbows on rainbows. For a kiddo who's already overloaded, that isn't calming. It's more noise.
These are different on purpose. Soft, earthy colors. Lots of breathing room. Simple pictures that are easy to read when thinking feels hard.

I know overstimulated. I live overstimulated. So I made the posters my own nervous system was craving. Turns out, kiddos like them too!
So… what’s included in your calming corner bundle?
GRAB A SNACK. LET'S TAKE THE TOUR.
Mark the Spot
CALM DOWN CORNER SIGN
A soft watercolor sunburst that says this is the place. Hang it up, and your calming corner stops feeling like a timeout spot. It becomes somewhere they want to go.
Notice the Feeling
MY BODY’S SIGNALS (5 VERSIONS)
A lot of kids feel a feeling before they can name it. This poster connects the dots: tight tummy, hot face, fast heart, clenched hands, wiggly legs. There are five versions with five different kids, so your kiddo can connect with one that looks like them.
Name the Feeling
FEELINGS CHECK-IN + HOW BIG IS MY FEELING?
Twelve faces to point to, from happy and silly to worried and confused. The feelings thermometer runs from 1 (calm) to 5 (too big), so you both know what you're working with before deciding what comes next.
Calming Tools
SIX WAYS TO FIND CALM
Square Breathing: They trace the square with a finger and breathe along. Super simple. Works on me too!
Use Your Senses: The 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise, painted along a little forest path. Really good for a racing brain.
Calm Down Choices: Six options, like hugging a pillow, getting a drink of water, or asking for a hug. They pick, so it feels like theirs.
Movement Break: For when the wiggles simply must come out.
My Sensory Toolkit: Helpful for kids who need something but can't say what.
It's Okay To… : Cry, need a break, stim, say no, ask for help. I created this autism poster that treats stimming as normal, because it is!

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Nope! It's a digital file, so nothing ships. That means no waiting, no tracking numbers, and no empty box for the cat to claim. Frames aren't included.
-
You'll get a download link right after checkout.
-
Any home printer works. For sturdier posters, try matte cardstock and choose "actual size" so the edges don't get chopped. No printer? (Or a printer that just… hates you? Relatable.) Any local print shop can do it in minutes.
-
These are finished designs, so they can't be edited.
-
Yes! They work as classroom posters, therapy office decor, or a calming corner at home. Print as many as you need. Just please don't share, sell, or pass along the files. (Small shop. Real human. Thank you!)
-
Because it's a digital file, I can't do refunds or exchanges. But if your download goes sideways, email me at stimmyprintery@gmail.com. I'm a real person, probably under a weighted blanket, and I genuinely want you to love these.
